Sutter Home Website

Sutter Home sells more wine than just about anybody. And that was before I wrote some stuff for their new website. Sparing you the longer descriptions, below the image are some fun wine descriptions:

Sutter Home Wines
WHITE ZINFANDEL
You savor the first hint of strawberries, hold the glass up to the light, and think, “pink is definitely my new white.”

CHARDONNAY
All of a sudden, it’s like you’re juggling a lemon, a pear, an apple, and a peach. On your tongue.

SAUVIGNON BLANC
The melon and citrus flavors are great. But it’s those hints of passion fruit that evoke the strongest emotions.

GEWURZTRAMINER
You wonder: is that lichee fruit? White peaches? What are these flavors and, more importantly, where have they been all my life?

CHENIN BLANC
It’s like a flashback to a spring morning that was so bright and crisp you wished aloud someone would bottle it.

ZINFANDEL
Spicy berries and juicy pepper. Dark colored, yet bright. Swirling in your glass is proof positive that life is full of glorious contradictions.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON
As you pour, the anticipation grows – anything that looks like rubies and smells like cherries is bound to be a winner.

MERLOT
Gaze at the deep red color, sip the deep cherry flavor, and think deep thoughts. Like how you wish you had a deeper glass.

WHITE MERLOT
What was it you were tasting the last time you tasted berries like this? Now you remember – it was berries.

PINOT NOIR
Is this smooth cherry and herb flavor why everyone’s talking about Pinot? You’re not sure, but it’s definitely worth discussing over Pinot.

PINOT GRIGIO
Maybe somebody’s planning to send you a big bouquet of tropical flowers. But you beat them to it with that last sip.

MOSCATO
Something about the sweet, creamy, peach flavor makes you feel like maybe it shouldn’t pair with dessert so much as replace it.

WHITE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Pour one for a friend, too. Then you can take turns holding them up and looking at the world through rose-colored glasses.
