Covad Product Decision Tree
Who says strategy has to be ugly? Charts can be pretty, too. Take this project for Covad – assembling a complex flow chart of decisions that guide consumers/businesses as to which VoIP product to buy (and guide Covad how to manage that process). Started out in boxes that looked all management consultant-y, but there’s no reason this decision tree couldn’t look like, well, a tree. Or a cactus. (Note, original content in flowchart form is omitted to retain confidentiality – below are just the pretty pictures).
A new credo: any strategy that you expect to be followed throughout an organization should look good hanging on people’s walls.
